Our Story: How GP66 Began

Jimmy Kaplanges, the son of Greek immigrants, started his journey by mopping floors in his mother's restaurant, where he used a soap she had made from a mixture of boiled fat and lye. With a degree in chemistry, Jimmy went on to start a small business selling janitorial equipment. In his spare time, he experimented with a sustainable concoction of ingredients, which he perfected in 1966, giving birth to the GP66 formula.
